Faulty sky box

!st picture is the lnb1 test on the grundig

.this is the lnb2 test on the grundig

.

.this is the lnb 1 and 2 connected to the + box

.

If I reverse the connection , input 2 still has no signal.

I have changed the connection points on the actual lnb to the 2 that are brand new and covered with a plastic bung, and I have also retuned the dish and now have 2/3 signal quality ( I had only1/3 to 1/2 before). All connections were made with the box unplugged and then rebooted.

.Sky were very little help except that it was a fault with the box as there is obviously strong signal from the lnb for both inputs. Input 2 appears a tight connection but the center spring may be a bit splayed, which may be the problem. If your f connectors have a long and bent up center prong that would account for a good connection although I would assume a bit hit and miss . The center pin should only just protrude from the f connector and should be straight without a flat end that a cutting instrument makes, although many installer leave a very long center pin which does go deep into the connector. I have tried elongating one , but it did not work.Suggestion?

.bad damagebad damage

.bad damagegood condition

.The box that busterahs sent has significant damage and cannot be called as good as new , or even in a looked after state , it could also be the result of a possible repair attempt by someone who could not open the unit properly indicting the unit had already a fault or had been repaired previously. The bottomĀ  is the unit bought from the reputable seller and as you can see , even in a photo it really is in good as new condition . A unit that looks battered , and then fails to workproperly when received is suspect.
